Dr. Gale Elected President of The GPMA

Dr. Howard Gale was recently elected President of The Georgia Podiatric Medical Association (GPMA). He will serve as president of the GPMA for his term of the next two years. The GPMA was first incorporated in 1933 for the purpose of providing social interaction and education for its members while safeguarding the foot, ankle and leg health of all Georgians. The GPMA is a professional association representing more than 3 of every 4 podiatrists in Georgia. It provides a forum for the advancement of the art and science of podiatric medicine through ongoing medical education for its members. It serves as the voice of the profession in the Georgia legislature, dedicating itself to programs and activities that enhance the competence and success of the podiatric physician and the health and well-being of the citizens of Georgia. It serves as a valuable resource for consumer information, the nature of the practice of podiatric medicine, the importance of good foot health, and the availability of quality podiatric care.


Dr. Howard Gale lives and practices podiatry in Statesboro, GA, at the office of Ankle & Foot Associates, LLC. Dr. Gale also practices in Rincon, GA. Dr. Gale is a podiatrist who is recognized as a diplomate of the American College of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Gale was instrumental in the start of a yearly Cadaver Lab held at Georgia Podiatric Medical Association’s Annual Meeting since 2016. He was the scientific committee chairman for the state’s annual scientific meeting for three consecutive years. He is also a member of the governing body of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
