Dr. Howard Gale
Dr. Gale was born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Buffalo, New York. He earned his BS in biology at the State University of New York at Stonybrook in 1988. Dr. Gale enjoyed volunteering on the campus ambulance corps as an Emergency Medical Technician. He was president of the Student Alumni Chapter and won the Senior Leadership Award.
After graduation, Dr. Gale attended Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating in 1992, he was awarded a two-year surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery at Trinity Regional Hospital in central Iowa. It was in his residency where he met his wife, Colette. They have been happily married since 1996. Dr. Gale and Colette have been living in Statesboro, Georgia, since 1994. Their first daughter, Lucy Ella, was born with a rare form of epilepsy. She passed away at 4 months of age. They are the proud parents of Sabrina and Maxwell.
Dr. Gale is a podiatrist who is recognized as a diplomate of the American College of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
Dr. Gale has been voted by the local community for Best Podiatrist in the Boro since 2010.
In addition, he was voted in as a board member of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association by his colleagues and has been honored to serve in that position since 2007. Dr. Gale will be the president of the Association in 2018 and 2019. He is also a member of the governing body of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Gale also serves as the private insurance resource for his colleagues in Georgia since 2007.
Dr. Gale was instrumental in the start of a yearly Cadaver Lab held at Georgia Podiatric Medical Association’s Annual Meeting since 2016. He was the scientific committee chairman for the state’s annual scientific meeting for three consecutive years.
