Dr. Eric Massa
Originally from Southern Illinois, Dr. Eric G. Massa received his Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He received his doctorate at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Massa went on to a three-year surgical residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, where he was chief resident. He finished his training as the first podiatrist in Columbus to perform an Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship.
Dr. Massa was in private practice in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Tifton, GA. In Ohio, Dr. Massa performed more than a thousand hospital surgeries on the foot and ankle, and was very active in podiatric resident training. He was assistant residency director at Grant Medical Center, Division Chief of Podiatry at Doctor’s Hospital, and past president of the American Podiatric Medical Association Central Academy. Dr. Massa has been active in podiatric research, presenting at state and local meetings. His research has been published in highly regarded podiatric and orthopedic journals.
Dr. Massa is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, member of the American Diabetes Association, and Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. He has specialty training in peripheral nerve surgery, and is a member of the American Association of Lower Extremity Peripheral Nerve Surgeons.
Most importantly, Dr. Massa is a husband of 19 years to his wife Kim, and they have four children: Katie, Meghan, Christian, and William. He enjoys sports of all kinds, especially golf and fishing.
